Kudzu Umeboshi Drink

Ingredients
  

  • 1 flat tsp. Umeboshi spread Vata - - Pitta ++ Kapha +
  • 1 heaped tsp. kudzu powder Vata 0 Pitta - - Kapha +

Instructions
 

  • Melt 1 tsp. of Kudzu flakes in 1/4 cup cold water and set aside.
  • Boil in a separate saucepan, 1 cup of water.
  • When the water boil, add while whisking with an egg beater, the melted kudzu.
  • Bring to boil again.
  • Lower the flame and take a little of the boiling Kudzu water into a cup.
  • Melt in it the desired quantity of Umeboshi spread, pour back to the saucepan, close the flame and mix well.

Notes

Optional additions:
For Vata: it is possible to replace the Umebushi spread with 1 tsp. of Shoyu
soy sauce.
