Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup cow’s milk Vata - Pitta - - Kapha ++
  • 1 Tbs. ghee Vata - Pitta - - Kapha +
  • 3-4 eggs Vata - - Pitta + Kapha +
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour or spelt flour Vata - Pitta - Kapha ++ or (Vata - Pitta - Kapha +)
  • For sweet pancakes add 1 Tbs. maple syrup (Vata - - Pitta - Kapha +)
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • Pinch cinnamon Vata - Pitta + Kapha - -
  • Pinch nutmeg Vata - - Pitta + Kapha +

Instructions
 

  • Whisk in a bowl the milk, ghee, eggs and maple syrup.
  • Gradually add the flour, baking powder and spices and continue to stir until batter is unified.
  • Preheat a skillet on a medium flame.
  • Use a ladle to pour the batter into pancakes. When bubbles appear, turn to the other side.

Notes

Optional additions:
For Vata: Cow’s or oat milk.
For Pitta: Goat’s or rice milk.
